Team Member Q&A: Camryn Runyan

Today we wanted to shine a spotlight on one of our team members: Camryn Runyan, our marketing coordinator! Camryn runs everything behind the scenes that makes BGRE look good. She also writes our blogs, and is feeling a little weird about referring to herself in third person, so let's switch it up! I manage all of our social media channels (you should follow us!). I create most of our real estate photography, and all of our videography and editing. I design and print all of our print marketing, informational folders for our agents to give to clients, postcards, business cards - you name it! I also have a hand in organizing open houses and all of our fun community events, plus a whole mountain of other responsibilities. My background is in graphic design and photography and I really enjoy being able to use all my skills and MORE in this position as marketing coordinator. This is a great team and it is a pleasure to show them off!

Q: Where are you originally from?
A: I was a navy kid, so I grew up all over the world. I was born in CA, but I lived in FL, VA, Spain, and Japan before I turned 18!

Q: How long have you lived on the Crystal Coast?

A: I moved here in August 2018.

Q: Family?

A: My parents and younger sister and brother live in the area, I have another brother and sister-in-law who live in Missouri, and I have a newly-acquired husband, Sawyer!

Q: What are some of your hobbies?
A: I love exploring new local spots, reading novels, and baking anything sweet!

Q: What is one of your proudest accomplishments?
A: Marrying my amazing husband, and traveling solo

Q: Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without?

A: Stories! I always have a few books on my nightstand, audiobooks loaded on my phone, and I love a good movie.

Q: What's the best place you've traveled to?
A: It's impossible to choose! But if pressed, maybe I would choose my 2-week study abroad photojournalism class to Australia. We explored Sydney, Uluru, and Cairns.

Q: What's your favorite recipe?
A: Chocolate chip cookies! Coming from a family of 6, I'm used to making triple/quadruple batches...

Q: What was your first paying job?

A: I was a dance teacher for 3 years! 

Q: Where did you work before BGRE?
A: I worked at The Infusion Cafe in downtown Morehead City (check them out!)

Q: What's your favorite thing about your career?
A: As a graphic designer, I love the artistic side of my job - getting to create and assemble beautiful things.

A: I was hunting for a local graphic designer job and applied to their ad! After an -extensive- interview process, I was hired and began learning about real

A: I was hired right at the beginning of Covid, so March 2020.

Q: What's one thing you'd want our followers to know about you?
A: Pretty much everything you see on our socials and marketing materials is from me. I'm the woman behind the curtain! :)
